Please note that some of our servers enforce a maximum group limit, while others do not. The following group limit rules only apply to servers that have a defined maximum group size.
The rules below apply to all servers with group limits. Since the maximum number of players allowed in a group varies depending on the server, we will represent the limit using an "X" — for example, Trio = 3 players, Quad = 4 players, etc. Players are expected to respect the designated group limit on these servers.
It is your responsibility to review and follow the server rules before playing. Failure to comply with group size limits on applicable servers will result in removal from the server, often without warning.
<aside>
If any players are caught breaking our group limit rules the punishments may be applicable to all teammates on both teams, offline or not. Please ensure all members of your group are aware of the following rules to avoid getting your entire team banned.

<aside>
You cannot play alongside more than X player at once, if you wish to switch teammates you must follow the guidelines listed at the bottom of these rules. This rule is applicable regardless of whether you are sharing a team/base or not.
Example: If you are having difficulty understanding the above disclaimer here are some examples. On our trio server the rule is “Teams or groups are limited to 3 players” and on our quad server the rule is “Teams or groups are limited to 4 players”.

If you have more than the maximum number of players allowed in a group authorized on any of your entities or code locks this can be viewed as breaking the group limit.
Please note: We will not issue bans for instances where unlocked tool cupboards are left in the open or in decayed bases. Warnings automatically will appear in chat if you authorize over the maximum number of allowed players.

Having allies on any of our group limit servers is not allowed, being friendly or treating another player outside your group as an extra teammate outside of your team UI will result in a ban. This also goes for making agreements to not kill players or not to raid specific players bases or entities.
</aside>
<aside>
This rule is extremely self explanatory, if you are found to be letting players outside of your team into your bases compound or through doors and into your base this will be viewed as an alliance/no kill agreement.
</aside>
<aside>
This rule exists to prevent loopholes being abused in our rules. Hotels, villages, shared compounds or base sharing would cause unofficial alliances and issues with enforcing existing rules regarding code lock and tool cupboard auths.

<aside>
You may only trade resources with other players through the use of the /trade user interface window or in a safe zone. Trading items with someone in person anywhere outside of a safe zone will result in you breaking the group limit rules.
</aside>
<aside>
When trading with other players on the servers, giving away loot for free is not allowed and will be considered teaming or forming an alliance. You also cannot circumvent this rule by trading items of little to no value or small amounts of random items in exchange for high-value or large quantities of items.

<aside>
When trading with other players on the server you must only trade resources, whether it’s in person within a safe zone or through the /trade window UI you cannot trade for services or mutual agreements from/with another player. This is to prevent users from circumventing the rules to form temporary alliances or no kill agreements.

<aside>
If you are quitting the server or simply wish to move/abandon your current base you are not allowed to give it to another player or announce codes in chat, to do this you must remove all code locks and pick up the remaining doors.
Please note if you remove code locks and pickup your doors but still intend to transfer it to another player this is still against the rules and you will be banned.

This procedure applies to all group limited servers except for solo only.
If you want to swap a member of your team for a different player you must follow the procedure below to ensure you do not violate any of our group limit rules. Failure to do so may result in your group being banned.
Step 0 - Only applies on our 5x servers: Remove the old player from the clan
If you are playing on any of our 5x server you must remove the teammate you are swapping from the clan prior to following any of the steps below to prevent them from being automatically added to the new code locks and authorizations. Type /removeAuth "Player Name" to remove them from all entities as well.
Step 1: Clear the tool cupboard (TC)
Clear all existing authorizations on your tool cupboard so the player you are replacing no longer has auth.
Step 2: Change all the codes in the base Every code lock in your base must be changed when switching teammates, this is to remove their auth on your codes after they are removed from your group.
Step 3: Destroy all sleeping bags and beds placed by or assigned to the player you’re replacing. The player you are replacing must not have any way to spawn back in your base after they are switched out, every bag/bed must be removed from inside the base/compound.
Step 4: Kill the sleeper of the player you’re replacing.
If the body of the player you’re replacing remains inside your base you must kill them when you swap them for someone else, if their sleeping body remains in your base you risk being banned for exceeding the group limit.
Step 5: Once all previous steps are completed, you can invite your new teammate.
Steps 1 to 4 must be complete before a new player joins your team, if they are not then you will be breaking multiple group limit rules within this period of time which will result in your group being banned.
Disclaimer: Once someone is replaced, they cannot rejoin until the wipe is over or 3 days have passed since their removal.
You cannot continuously swap between two players, if you follow the swap procedure and switch someone out, that specific player cannot rejoin your team until the server wipes or at least 3 days have passed, even if you follow the steps above.
</aside>
<aside>
You can leave the player you’re removing on external TCs, however. Optionally, if you want to authorize new player on the sealed TCs then you will need to /remove the walls and do each TC one by one.

No. This is equal to having a no-kill agreement.

No. This is still a violation of our rules.
